LHAP has recently hosted several Aquatic Physiotherapy courses, run by Dr Heather Epps, including the AquaEpps® for Children and Young People with Neurological Dysfunction course. We had visitors attending from all over the UK, and also several international visitors, coming from as far as Canada. The course is a mixture of land-based theory, case studies and group discussions supported by Dr Epps, and also time spent in the pool learning new handling techniques, skills and treatment approaches.
Dr Epps teaches invaluable skills and approaches for children and young people, which can be used on their own, or in conjunction with other aquatic physiotherapy approaches. A big thank you to everyone who attended, especially for travelling so far, and for the lovely feedback received. The details and dates of up-and-coming courses can all be found on the LHAP website.
