LHAP physiotherapists have been treating individuals on behalf of rehabilitation case managers since 2002. We understand the needs of case managers and their clients.

We have specialist and highly-experienced neurological, musculoskeletal and paediatric physiotherapists with extensive experience in aquatic physiotherapy.

Our experience in this area allows us to meet the needs of case managers by providing:

  • Detailed and accurate written cost quotation for the assessment, possible ongoing treatment and any reports that may be required.
  • Immediate appointments available, with short lead times for reports.
  • The option for case managers and land-treating physio to attend the assessment
  • We are experts in writing Recommendations and Benefits reports. We can tailor the depth of the report to suit your needs.
  • We can include targeted video evidence to support the benefits to clients detailed in our reports.
  • Treatment sessions in our modern and fully accessible hydrotherapy and physiotherapy center.
  • Regular weekly sessions can be reserved for clients.
  • Intensive daily treatment sessions on land and in the pool over a period of days to suit out-of-area clients.
  • Client-centred goals with clear baseline data and measurable outcomes.
  • Integration of therapeutic handling and exercise into day-to-day living, working with and alongside the client, families and the team.
  • Provision of bespoke aquatic therapy and physical activities programmes and guidelines for short-term and out-of-area clients.
  • Joint goal-setting sessions as required with SALT (e.g. when working on breath control and posture).
  • Joint goal-setting sessions as required with OT (e.g. when working on sensory dysfunction).
  • Treatment alongside NHS physiotherapy services (if required).
  • Regular updates throughout the rehabilitation journey.
  • Invoices can be sent to the fund holders or to the case manager/deputy on a monthly basis.

LHAP have no waiting lists. Our clinic, pool and facilities have been designed by medico-legal and aquatic physiotherapy expert Dr Heather Epps. Our clinic, changing rooms and pool are super-clean with automatic and manual cleaning and testing throughout each day.

Fully accessible private changing rooms with heated floors with ceiling-track hoisting directly from the changing room to the pool available.

Changing rooms have seating and height-adjustable profiling  shower beds.

In addition, we have a manual chair hoist plus wide, shallow steps and handrail for more ambulant clients to access our pool.

We have appointments available from 9:00am – 6:00pm Monday to Friday.

We use a range of techniques and approaches including normal developmental techniques, Bobath therapy, MAES therapy, SI, PNF on land and in water, therapeutic yoga, therapeutic pilates, taping, numerous mobilising and strengthening techniques, physical management strategies, postural management, Aquaepps®, Watsu®, Aquastretch, Halliwick and advanced hydrotherapy techniques.
